The Upcoming years - Hosting the Moving Wall
New 2007 Moving Wall Schedule
2008 The Moving Wall Schedule is now on line
If you are planning to host a "Moving Wall" event in your community, I hope that you
consider requesting my assistance as a volunteer.
My main mission is to search for veterans and their locations on The Moving Wall. Using computer software and databases, I can search by first name, last name, city, state, branch of service, and casualty dates. One advantage of my system is the capability to pull up and print out all the veterans from specific cities.
These are the visuals I bring and display:· I supply everything I can directly related to the veterans of your State. This includes information on the Medal of Honor recipients and their citations, beginning from the beginning of our country but focused only on your State. · A complete map and index of Vietnam, plus regional maps I, II, III and IV Corps maps · Reunion information and Vets searching for Other Veterans rosters · Some information on World War II Memorial and web sites; Korean, Desert Storm, current activities in the Gulf (to include all casualties since the Vietnam conflict) · The complete Moving Wall Schedule for A and C and a corresponding map · Information on the Wall (dates 59-75), the dimensions, how to determine the east vs. the west Wall, how the numbering on each panel works, the dots in the margins etc. · The East and West Wall breakdown by start/ending dates, panel number and line · Wall locators diagrams · Explanations of the POW/MIA table and flag, the initiation of the bracelets, Recognition Day and the status of all returned POWs · Contacts with all the POWs and can help folks make connections with them or their MIA families · Statistical information on casualties by year, by age and by services; Americans on the Wall by states · List of military chaplains on the Wall · The entire list of all (state) casualties (MIAs and KIAs) · The complete up-to-date list of all repatriated veterans by name and by states · The complete up-to-date list of all veterans added to the memorial since 1982 and a statistical presentation of how all these names were added. Also information how to add a name to the Memorial or make corrections. · The complete up-to-date list of the Hall of Shame of POWs and Navy Seals · Visuals of address/net sites for National Alliance, League of Families, Moving Wall, Military Women, Sons & Daughters in Touch, Veteran Locators, and ordering bracelets · Buddy locator services and units searching for vets · Description of medals of our armed forces and obtaining awards/medals plus a sample letter of request · A kids' (or parent) sheet that provides a rubbing sheet plus POW/MIA information, Old Glory in various forms, and the chronology of Vietnam · Information on the K-9 Corps, Joint Task Force Full Accountability Group · Information on Arlington Cemetery, what to do with a bracelet, sending DNA to the service branches. · Information on Gold Star Mothers, Blue Star families. · All Vietnam Memorials throughout the state of Your state · Chronology of Vietnam, Code of Conduct and more and more.
In the directory tent, I will require electricity hook-ups, and enough space for four long
tables and two chairs. I will also need six boards (8 x 4 pieces of
plywood) mounted on six posts for my information to be viewed as an
information center.
I would be happy to send more documentation for your review and
consideration to bring me to your event.
